Thank you to InkSlingerPR and Jay Crownover for the opportunity to reveal the cover. I am so excited to be apart of the team revealing the cover for Downfall. If you are not a fan of Jay you probably will not be aware of the fact that Downfall has been her newsletter books. Meaning a few chapters were released each month in her newsletter and I have been reading since Chapter 1. The story is amazing and I cannot wait to see how it wraps up. Now here is the cover reveal… Here is the synopsis… “Solomon Sanders doesn’t have time to fall in love. Until a stunning, skittish, single…

Process Post Week 8: Examining How I Address Sponsored Posts
This past week we had a discussion surrounding content marketing versus editorials versus advertising. This discussion made me think about how I accredit my sponsored content. Since I started my blog I have mentioned at the beginning of every post where I got any graphics, teasers, and advance reader copies from. I did this based on other book reviewers I have encountered, as they will always mention if and when they receive an early copy for review. I saw this practice being used on other blogs, on Goodreads reviews, and in the descriptions of YouTube video reviews. As someone who read reviews for years before delving into reviewing myself, I…

Miranda Elaine’s Fixing Him Review
I want to thank Miranda Elaine for providing me with a copy of Fixing Him, the second book in the Fixing Series. I was super excited when Miranda reached out to me personally to review her book, as this is the first time an author has reached out to me. Here is the Goodreads synopsis… “One summer. Three months.Ninety days spent learning every inch of Sam Matthews’ body.We agreed to no strings when our time was up. We promised we could both handle this.I lied. I never expected to fall for this man or this town. This was just supposed to be a stop on the way to starting my real life. But…

Peer Review #2: Remy June
I’ll be reviewing Remy’s website, Remy June. This peer review is supposed to focus on social media and the site’s online growth since the first peer review. Remy’s Social Media… Remy’s use of Instagram is perfect for the style of blog she has, travel. Remy has used her Instagram for many years to showcase her many travels and adventures. All the work she has done for years will pay off, as her Instagram already has major travel influencer vibes. Instagram is definitely the most relevant platform for Remy as writing about travel, lends itself to images of these places you can travel to. Remy does not link to her website…

Process Post Week 7: Changes to Address SEO
This past week’s SEO lecture inspired me to make a few changes to entice Google through search engine optimization. The lecture also inspired me to look at what I was already doing right, and what I definitely need to continue to do. I had not been using headers, nor had I thought to use headers in a sentence like format. So now as you read my latest reviews you can easily identify where my bullet point thoughts start, where you can get the purchase links, and where you can follow the author online. I made sure to format these subheadings into sentences. My titles are already very specific to my…

Melanie Harlow’s Irresistible ARC Review
Thank you so much, Melanie Harlow and Social Butterfly PR for the advance copy of Irresistible, which is out today! I was so excited for this book as we were introduced to the setting and characters in a previous series. I am glad to report that it did not disappoint. Maybe it was because I was PMS-ing but I cried so much while reading this book. Here is the Goodreads synopsis… “I’m a full-time single dad to three daughters and CFO at Cloverleigh Farms. I don’t have time to fall in love—I’m too busy trying to run a business, keep the red socks out of the white laundry, and get the…

Fiona Cole’s Savior Synopsis and Teaser Reveal
I am excited to be apart of the team revealing the synopsis and a teaser for Fiona Cole’s Savior, which releases on March 28th! Here is the synopsis reveal: “He bought me, but not to touch or taste. He bought me to save me, and to atone for past sins. Handsome and mysterious, he swoops in to offer me a new life, but this is no knight in shining armor. He’s cold, hardened by his past. But there’s an inferno underneath the ice, I can feel the heat each time he looks at me—each time he gives in to the desire between us. No matter how much I push to unleash…

Elle Kennedy’s The Risk ARC Review
I want to thank Elle Kennedy and her team at Nina Bocci PR for providing me with an advance reader copy of The Risk, the second book in the Briar U Series. I was astounded to be accepted for this review, as I have been a huge fan Elle Kennedy’s for years. I first read her most famous book, The Deal back in 2016. The Deal established Elle Kennedy as a go-to author for the Hockey Romance trope. I am also biased in my love for her, because she is a fellow Canadian, and I love supporting Canadian authors. Here is the Goodreads synopsis: “Everyone says I’m a bad girl. They’re only partly right—I…

Sierra Simone’s Misadventures with a Curvy Girl ARC Review
I want to thank Sierra Simone and the team at Bare Naked Words for providing me with an advance reader copy of Misadventures with a Curvy Girl. If you are unaware the Misadventures books can be read in any order, and all of them are standalone stories. Sierra Simone has previously written for the Misadventures series, the book entitled Misadventures with a Professor was my first foray into the Misadventures world. I found it super fun and quick read, so I jumped at the opportunity to review this book. Here is the Goodreads synopsis: “For the first time in her life, Ireland Mills is happy with her body. No more fad diets, no more hiding from every camera…

Process Post Week 6: Creating a Corporate Backstory and More Exciting News
This past week’s guest speaker was John Burns of Echo Stories. Using lessons from his lecture I crafted my corporate backstory… I have always been the type of reader who is mocked repeatedly for what they choose to read. Back in Elementary School I loved Twilight with a passion and was made fun of by other kids constantly for it. Throughout High School, I struggled to be open and honest about what I was reading due to being scorned in the past and the animosity in some online circles towards those reading Young Adult Literature, at the time. Then I discovered content creators on YouTube who were talking about Young Adult literature…
