This past week I put a lot of thought into if my brand would benefit from a logo. I first examined the logos of other similar brands to mine. I went right to one of my biggest inspirations: Aestas Book Blog. Aestas is known across the NA book blogging community by her name primarily. If she is known for any specific visual it would be her social media profile picture: On her website she does have her blog name stylized at the top: The profile picture is very recognizable to as I discovered her blog via Goodreads so naturally, I associated her with her Goodreads profile picture. I would not stay…

Peer Review #1: LateNightAudrey
I will be reviewing Audrey’s blog LateNightAudrey. Audrey is just at the beginning of her blogging journey. The blog is quite sparse, and I really do not understand what LateNightAudrey is? Her current posts read like Process Posts rather than Professional Posts that highlight her brand. When I dived deeper into Audrey’s About section Audrey mentions writing about her experience studying abroad in Scotland, and as more professional posts appear on her blog her brand will become more apparent. I get the vibe that Audrey is still building what exactly her brand is, and my tip for honing this would be to write and write and write. In my own…

I am so excited to be apart of the team revealing the cover of Helena Hunting’s newest release, Handle with Care which releases on August 27th! Now what you have all been waiting for, the cover… The male protagonist comes from the Shacking Up world. Lincoln Moorehead is the brother of Armstrong, the ex-fiancé/husband of Amalie Whitfield. Remember he cheats on her during the reception and then she has an epic love story after she leaves him. You should really read Shacking Up and Hooking Up if you haven’t, they are two of Helena Hunting’s best books. The synopsis is still in the works, so instead enjoy an excerpt from the book… “I’m startled out of my thoughts when my brother jumps…

Lauren Blakely’s Birthday Suit ARC Review
I want to thank Lauren Blakely and InkSlingerPR for the advance e-copy of Birthday Suit. From Goodreads: “There is no rule in the Man Code as unbreakable as this: no matter how beautiful, smart, clever, and witty she is, do not—under any circumstances—fall in love with your best friend’s woman.Yeah. So there’s that. Look, it’s not like I didn’t know I screwed up by falling for her. Also, for the record, unrequited love sucks big time. And, I might have cut myself some slack by now, given everything that went down in the last few years, but Lulu just walked back into my life in a big way. *** There are three things I’ve…

Process Post Week 2: Revelations from my Business Canvas
This week sitting down and working on my business canvas revealed to me how much I rely on my “key partners” to help me blog each week. I could not do what I do without the PR companies that I work with, InkSlingerPR and SocialButterflyPR. Both companies provide me with the opportunities to review and reveal on my blog. Through sending out newsletters with signups on almost a daily basis I never miss an opportunity. These companies provide me with graphics and teasers that elevate each blog post and make my blog more eye-catching. Naturally the authors themselves are key partners as well. In some cases such as with Nicole…

Vi Keeland’s We Shouldn’t Excerpt Reveal
I am so excited to be revealing an excerpt from Vi Keeland’s upcoming release, We Shouldn’t. From Goodreads: “Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning. I was late for the first day at my new job—a job I’d now have to compete for even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger. While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons. She’d ticketed a long line of cars—except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine. Annoyed, I decided to regift my…

Nicole Williams’ Fool Me Once ARC Review
I want to thank Nicole Williams for placing me on her ARC team and for providing me with an ARC of Fool Me Once. From Goodreads: “Second chances are for kids, diets, and shelter pets—not for relationships. Especially not one like Chase and Emma’s. Before he was writing chart-topping hits and smashing record sales, Chase Lawson was Emma’s childhood friend and first love. They promised each other forever, but forever expired at eighteen, when he landed a major record deal and left Emma and their hometown behind. Ten years later, he shows up at their high school reunion with a proposition she can’t refuse. Six months. Seven figures. He gets a chance…

I have been a huge fan of Katie McGarry for years and I am so excited to reveal an excerpt from her latest book, Only A Breath Apart which releases on January 22nd. Here is the synopsis: “Jesse Lachlin is cursed. So the town folklore says, but while Jesse’s had his fair share of tragedy, the only curse he believes is in his grandmother’s will: in order to inherit his family farm he must win the approval of his childhood best friend, the girl he froze out his freshman year, Scarlett Copeland. Scarlett Copeland is psychic. Glory Gardner tells Scarlett she has hidden psychic abilities, but Scarlett thinks Glory is delusional. What is…

Process Post Week 1: Blog Reflections and Goals
Starting off the new year just a week ago means that I am still in a place of self-reflection about the last year of my life. As an avid reader, my Goodreads goal is very important to me. Throughout 2018 I did not put pressure on myself to reach a certain number. As the year was coming to a close I realized I was scarily close to 200 books. A feat I have not accomplished since 2015. So with about a week left in 2018, I buckled down and picked the shortest ten books on my TBR. I crossed the finish line the afternoon of new year’s eve. I did…

Penelope Ward’s When August Ends Title, Cover, and Synopsis Reveal
I am so excited to be apart of the team revealing the title, cover, and synopsis for Penelope Ward’s latest release. When August Ends releases on February 25th! Now for the most exciting part, the cover… And if you choose to pick this one up in paperback here is the full cover… Finally here is the reveal of the synopsis: “What do you do when a sexy, older man moves into your family’s summer rental? Well, apparently, you make a fool of yourself—over and over. Things didn’t exactly get off on the right foot with Noah Cavallari. Our first encounter was embarrassing, to say the least. But despite that, I found myself…
