Thank you to Deveny Perry and her team at Wildfire Marketing Solutions for the opportunity to read and review the ARC of Devney’s newest release, the highly anticipated Letters to Molly.
I have been a fan of Devney since her first novel, so I was so incredibly excited to review her latest release.
Check out the Goodreads synopsis below…
“Molly Alcott didn’t expect to open her mailbox one summer morning and find an old letter stuffed between bills and a supermarket flyer. Penned in familiar handwriting, dated over fifteen years ago, the letter was written to Molly after her first date with the man she’ll never forget.
Week after week, new letters appear. Each marks an event in the history of their epic love affair. Each heals a wound. Each holds the confession of the man who still owns Molly’s heart.
The letters are full of promise, hope and love, but truth be told, Molly wishes she could unread them all.
Because the man who wrote these letters is not the one sending them.”
Here are my more detailed thoughts…
- Characters: Molly and Finn are the main characters of this novel, and if you have read Devney’s story The Birthday List then you will be aware of both Molly and Finn. Molly and Finn are both strong-willed, but both also have their sensitivities and insecurities. You cannot help but root for these characters.
- Setting: Bozeman, Montana gives such cute small town neighbours know each other feel. The perfect setting for this series of Deveny’s.
- Pacing: A+ work. I was worried about how fast this book would go because of Molly and Finn’s history, but instead, Deveny paced their new relationship and the book plot’s perfectly.
- Romance: I’ve been racking my brain, trying to figure out if I have read a second chance romance like this one. It was such a wonderful reading experience to see just how much Molly and Finn loved each other, and just how life can sometimes get in the way of two people meant for each other to be together. But this story also shows how if something is meant to be that life will find a way to bring it back together.
Letters to Molly receives five out of five stars.
