Lauren Blakely has definitely written your next beach or lakeside read for the summer. This is one of her best stories of the year so far.

Here are my more detailed thoughts…
- Characters: Malone and Sloane are the main characters of Lauren’s latest release. Malone is the smooth-talking, pantry dropping veterinary who has been hung up on Sloane for years. He is such a good male lead because he is a combination of his confidence surrounding how he is good at his job and the insecurity of his future both professionally and romantically. Sloane finds home for strays and has her own charming personality.
- Setting: The story takes place in New York City, which is a classic Lauren and contemporary romance setting.
- Pacing: Lauren Blakely rocks pacing. The ending did come a little quickly but I think it was cause I was so consumed by the story I didn’t realize how close I was to the end.
- Romance: The chemistry between Malone and Sloane was palpable. For Malone, Sloane was the one that got away, but her being the daughter of his boss/mentor is a block to their relationship that he struggles to overcome. I do not want to spoil why the book is called Satisfaction Guaranteed but the plan that the title alludes to leads to some of the steamiest scenes Lauren has ever written.
Satisfaction Guaranteed receives four out of five stars.
