Skye Warren’s Two for the Show ARC Review

Thank you to Skye Warren and the team at Dangerous Press for the advance reader copy of Two for the Show

Skye left these characters in quite a difficult situation and I cannot wait to get back with them and see how they tackle it all.

I am a member of the Dangerous Press review team, but I stand by my reviews remaining honest and true.

“Pregnant. Alone. And heartbroken. The only thing Eva Morelli knows for sure is that she wants this baby. She learned how to depend only on herself a long time ago.

The father, however? He made his position on marriage and children very clear.

Finn Hughes has fought his fate for years, but it’s finally catching up to him. Duty took away his choices. How can he hope for forever? He already knows how this ends.

There’s only one thing worse than having a family.

Losing them.”

Check out my more detailed thoughts below…

  • I will start off by saying this is a sequel, and you should really read my review of One for the Money if you are interested in escaping into Eva and Finn’s world.
  • Characters: We are back with Eva Morelli and Finn Hughes and I love them even more. Eva, oh damn I love this woman. She is strong yet, her weaknesses are starting to poke through. I love her sibling relationship with Leo. Their dynamic is a shining light in both their stories. Finn is such a compelling and interesting character. From watching him deal with the cluster fuck of his life, to see him figuring out the enormity of his feelings for Eva. I am so excited to see where his character is brought in the final instalment.
  • Setting: This story is set mostly in New York City and/or Bishop’s Landing just like other Dangerous Press books. I don’t wanna say that the setting does not really matter in this story, but yeah it doesn’t. This series is much more character driven.
  • Pacing: This story flew by. While many story beats were predictable, I was expecting that. I really like the place this story goes up to, it is such a great second instalment.
  • Romance: There is an immensity and intensity to their love. The sex was hot as always, but I found myself not even caring because I was so invested in Finn getting his head out of his ass. The way that Skye has set up this story, you cannot help but cheer these two on.

Two for the Show receives five out of five stars.
