This is the final book in the Tin Gypsy series. This series has been phenomenal, each installment a shining jewel in Devney’s backlist.

• Characters: Emmett and Nova are the main characters of this story. Nova is the daughter of the head of the rival motorcycle gang. She is driven to Clifton Forge to seek out much more than revenge. To Nova, the Tin Gypsies have wreaked havoc in her life. Her brother is dead, her father is in jail and her family is scattered. We cannot all relate to being the daughter of a head of a motorcycle gang. But what Nova does bring is this relatability when it comes to pleasing one’s parent. Everything she does in search of her father’s praise, from becoming a lawyer to running off to Clifton Forge to seek revenge. I think many of us girls out there can relate to this need to please someone in our lives and not feeling that they are proud in return no matter what you do. Emmett is our male lead and he is a former Tin Gypsy. His father was one of the founding members and was killed years ago. Emmett is the last single pringle out of all the Tin Gypsy men and so I was looking forward to his love story.
• Setting: This series is set in Clifton Forge, Montana. A setting near and dear to my heart. The entire time I was reading this I was sad to never get to visit this fictional town again. A town filled with some of my fave former biker bros and their old ladies. As this was the conclusion Devney did throw in some really get scenes with all of the past couples. As well as some closure to the Tin Gypsies that I did not even know the series needed.
• Pacing: The secretive nature of Nova really fuels the pacing and plot of the story. It is a story of her resolve breaking, of her plan unravelling and of secrets being exposed. I could not have been any happier with how everything went down. Each twist was timed perfectly.
• Romance: The relationship starts as a hookup and there is a lot of sexy times. More than I think Devney’s ever done. I always love how Devney writes the romantic side of a relationship, but in this book, her ability to write sexual chemistry and undeniable attraction are the shining stars. I love how Nova had to almost fight battles with herself to stay away, to not let the guilt of using Emmett for revenge eat at her. Emmett brought this freshness, this ability to let his guard down and open up with Nova much faster than she could do with him. So often in romance, it is the men who have their guards up and are the ones scared to fall. It was such a nice turn of events to have Devney construct this couple’s dynamic in a different way.
