- Characters: Murph is Reeve’s old roommate that you might remember if you read Unforgettable. Murph works at Vino and Veritas, the wine bar side specifically. He is extremely flamboyant and confidant in who he is. He was the perfect compliment to Jason. Who was a very shy, incredibly straight seeming. Who had never had a serious relationship.
- Setting: This final Vino & Veritas story is set in Burlington, Vermont. This was one of the first instalments that dealt with the no so accepting side of the town. Most of these instalments paint Burlington as a gay safe haven. It was interesting to see from Jason’s perspective how different it can be.
- Pacing: The story was paced pretty okay. I found the beginning part dragged on. I was just waiting and waiting for them to finally move on to the next steps.
- Romance: This was a very interesting romance. Murph brought this confidence initially but as time went on as a reader you begin to understand how he was conditioned to see himself unworthy of love. Jason on the other hand has thought he was only into girls his whole life. Once Murph comes around and challenges that notion, Jason is really thrown for a loop. So this story is much more than just a love story. It is a coming out story, a story of self discovery and ultimately a story about self-acceptance.
Undone receives four out of five stars.
