Thank you to Nikki Sloane and the team at Valentine PR for the advance reader copy of The Good Girl, the fifth interconnected standalone in the Nashville Neighborhood series.

I didn’t know we were getting more books in this series! I jumped to review this when I saw the sign-up. Nashville Neighborhood is such a guilty pleasure series for me. I adore this smutty culdesack so damn much.

What are you supposed to do when your best friend’s little sister—a classic good girl—asks you to help her go bad?

You should say no.

You shouldn’t pretend to date her so she can piss off her parents.

You definitely shouldn’t agree to take her virginity and show her all the experiences she’s been missing out on.

And you really shouldn’t keep it a secret from her brother, the one who’s your best friend and business partner.

But I don’t always make the best choices. In fact, I can be kind of a dick sometimes.

And I know if I don’t do it, someone else will . . . and I can’t have that. If anything, it means I get to be the good guy for once.

I just wasn’t prepared for how gifted this good girl would be at going bad.

Check out my more detailed thoughts below…

  • Characters: I never though Nikki Sloane woudl give us Preston’s story. He is Cassidy’s ex from the first book, The Doctor, the ex who cheated on her and then had to deal with his ex-girlfriend and father falling for each other. Preston has done so much growing up though, and I loved Nikki’s depiction of this guy who is always trying to be the best version of himself. It was so sad when he didn’t think he was enough for Sydney. She is Colin’s sister, you should remember him from the prevous installment The Frat Boy. Sydney is the most innocent character in one of these stories yet. She has super controling partents and she started to fake date Preston to push her parents to the brink. I loved how she grew over the story, and took more control of her life, grasping for it back from her parents. Sidenote I loved seeing Cassidy and Dr. Lowe living a full life together in the background of this story.
  • Setting: Everyone’s favourite neighbourhood in Nashville is back! Most of the story bounces between Preston and Sydney’s houses as they have their summer fling. Preston lives with his father still, Dr. Lowe and I love how no matter what book in this series you read you are guaranteed a sexy pool scene.
  • Pacing: This book just like all the others in the series is such a fun quick read. I know we are at the end of the summer, but this is the series you should binge before Labor Day. I think it is worth escaping into the fantasies of all these stories.
  • Romance: I adore this falling for my best friend’s little sister because I am giving her sex lessons story. This story opens with the clear directive from Colin, stay away from my little sister. We have a bit of a time jump between Preston and Sydney’s first kiss and then so many years later they cannot keep their hands off each other. I loved the concept of their lessons and each one of those scenes was incredibly delicous. Nikki Sloane does a good job in these books of getting a reader emotionally invested in a relationship along what is truly some of the hottest sex scenes. Loved this instalment and would love to see more!

The Good Girl receives four out of five stars.

I binge-read the first three books in this series last December, so I jumped at the chance to review the conclusion of this fun and sexy series. Colin Novak is the big man on campus. Huge—if the rumors are to be believed. Nearly every girl at Davidson University has had a ride on him . . . everyone, except me. Which is fine. This frat boy may be irritatingly hot, all carved muscle with a deceptively wholesome smile, but that’s irrelevant. He’s a Sig. When I catch his fraternity cheating at the Greek Week tournament, he denies it—causing our rivalry between houses to escalate. Colin and I may have started the mud fight, but it grows into an all-out war, and ends with us expelled from our houses. Now I’m homeless and it’s all his fault. So, while answering an ad for a leading role at an adult film company wasn’t part of my career path, the work comes with a lot of perks. Steady salary. Accommodations close to campus. A safe place to explore my fantasies. Except when I show up for my audition, my partner is none other than my new archenemy—Colin. And our sexual chemistry is explosive. We hate how attracted we are to each other, and I despise that I want every scene to be with him. Because the longer we live together, the more I see he’s not who I thought he was. This frat boy was so easy to hate . . . but what if he’s even easier to love? Check out my more detailed thoughts below… The Frat Boy receives four out of five stars. Thank you to Nikki Sloane and Valentine PR for the advance reader copy of The Frat Boy, the fourth story in the Nashville Neighbourhood series.

Check out my more detailed thoughts below…

  • Characters: The protagonist is sorority girl Madison and I really loved so many elements of her character. She is an incredibly passionate character. As the story progresses her passions for so many things grow, from getting more in touch with her sensual side. Her passion was evident even in the small part of this book that was about the school we found out Madison was an accounting major. Her passion for numbers really comes in handy in some scenes that longtime fans of this series will love. Madison’s love interest is fraternity boy Collin. When we meet this frat boy he has been sleeping around and being a jerk to so many. He goes on a really interesting journey in this book. As he got to know Madison better he began to shift from the insensitive frat boy to a nice guy to even a supportive boyfriend.
  • Setting: We don’t actually spend much time at the university, instead we are in everyone’s favourite Nashville Neighbourhood. I loved all the cameos from the characters of the previous instalments. There is a particularly stellar scene at the end that felt like an ode to this series and a beautiful send-off.
  • Pacing: This story opened in such an exciting fashion! From the beginning, the premise is established so well, and you cannot help but keep reading. This story kicks off fast and never slows down. All I wanted to do was keep reading it, I may have even put aside prescient things to finish it.
  • Romance: This book is extremely sexy, hot, and every other adjective in this vein that you can think of. I loved how we got two concurrent stories, the love story of the key couple and their romance. But readers who love scenes will multiple partners will fawn over this story, if you are a fan of this series I have no doubt you are one of those readers. The Frat Boy has M/F/M, F/F/M, M/F/M/F and lots of voyeurism and exhibitionism. The standout is the physical part of Mads and Collin’s relationship, but the emotional throughline of the budding relationship is still there. One of my favourite scenes was them having a deep conversation late at night in bed. It was low-key super relatable to me, are my boyfriend and I the only people who have deep convos way too late at night when we can’t fall asleep? I just wish these moments of connection happened slightly earlier in the story. If you want a fun bingeable series full of taboo tropes pick up the Nashville Neighbourhood!

The Frat Boy receives four out of five stars.

Linde’s: One Cruel Wedding Night asks is if an arranged marriage equals no love. This story features Camden, the heir to a hotel fortune and Katherine who is now penniless. Her father committed fraud and now her only option is this arranged marriage. This villain romance had great sexual tension. I loved how it was set at their wedding and the hot scenes that came with it. 4 stars. Skye Warren’s: Two Turtle Doves features Gabriel and Avery fan favourite characters of Skye’s. I have not read any of her Endgame series, I feel bad that I could not appreciate all the character cameos. For those who have this is definitely going to be a treat for you. 3 stars. Fiona Cole’s: Goner is the best story in this anthology! Fuck I loved this story. First off I am a huge fan of Fiona and the world of Voyeur, so yes I am biased. There is a great cameo from a beloved couple. They get in the mix with the new characters and it is a super hot scene. I love the setting of blur and I could read like ten more books in this world. Amara and Atlas have great chemistry. This book has everything, F/F/M, F/F/F, and M/F. 5 stars. Giana Darling’s: Swan Song is about Finnegan aka Curtains of the Fallen MC. This story was pretty good but I expected more from Giana. I am a huge fan of her motorcycle romances and I wanted this to be steamier. I did really enjoy the characters and the mystery surrounding them. 4 stars. Claire Contreras’s: Five Golden Rings is Deliah and Rory’s story. This story was not very memorable. The sex was hot though. I loved how the rings referenced in the title were incorporated into the story. 3 stars. Nikki Sloane’s: On the Sixth Day is a story of a throuple. Clay, Travis & Lilith are from The Architect. I enjoyed this story so much, I plan to pick up their story. Their sex scene was incredibly hot. I loved the balance between the sex and plot in this story. 5 stars. Nana Malone’s: Four Calling Birds is Bryna and Lucas’ story. I did enjoy that this story had a heist aspect to it and how it led to a very hot hookup. But overall I did not get super invested in this story. 3 stars. C.D. Reiss’s: Nine Ladies Dancing was a bit of an odd story. It really did not click with me, as I did not like any of the characters. It took me forever to read and it had my putting the book down rather than devouring the story as I should be. 2 stars. Sierra Simone’s: My Present This Year is about step-siblings Nick and Nora. This story is so hot and well of course it is it is written by the queen of steamy smut Sierra Simone. This story was my second favourite in the anthology. With perfect pacing, the tension was built between step-siblings who have been struggling to keep their hands to themselves. You cannot help but buy into their feelings and start to cheer them on. 5 stars. Laurelin Paige’s: Ten Dirty Deeds exudes tension and oozed steaminess. I loved the concept of the 10 deeds and how it was incorporated. I know Laurelin has written about these characters before, but I have never read that story. Sabrina and Donovan are from Dirty Flirty Rich Men, and they seem like a very fun, hot and dirty couple. 4 stars. M. Malone’s: Gift Me is Noelle and Deacon’s adorably nerdy romance. I loved this romance of two people who have been pining for each other for quite a while. This story was one of the sweetest and most romantic ones in the anthology rather than something sexy or steamy. 4 stars. Angelina M. Lopez’s: Twelve Drummers is Sabrina Ramirez’s story. This story was really unique and its inspiration was super cool. This Aztec-inspired tale is one of the steamiest in the anthology. The hotness of this story is quite something, but its lack of plot keeps the rating a bit lower for me. 3 stars. Twelve Naughty Days receives four out of five stars.
