I was so incredibly excited to receive this ARC! I have been a huge fan of this series for years. I read Priest back in 2018 when I discovered Sierra Simone. I loved both Priest and Sinner, so I was incredibly excited for Aiden Bell’s story. I love that we are getting an M/M romance too! Check out the Goodreads synopsis… “I can’t have Elijah Iverson. I can’t have him because he’s my older brother’s best friend. I can’t have him because I broke his heart five years ago; because he’s now engaged to someone else—someone kind and dependable who deserves his whiskey eyes, his soft mouth, his fierce intellect. I can’t have Elijah because I’ve chosen God instead. The Bell brothers, though . . . well, we don’t exactly have the greatest track record with vows. But I’m determined to do this monk thing right—to pledge myself to a cloistered life and spend the rest of my years in chastity and prayer. But now Elijah’s here. He’s here and he’s coming with me on my European monastery road trip, and between the whispered confessions and the stolen kisses and the moments bent over an ancient altar, my vows are feeling flimsier by the day. And vows or not, I know in my heart that it would take more than a good and holy monk to resist Elijah Iverson right now. It would take a saint. And we all know that I’m no saint. **This is the third full-length standalone in the Priest Collection, featuring Father Bell’s brother, Aiden Bell. You do not have to read Priest or Sinner to read Saint.) This is Aiden Bell’s story** Check out my more detailed thoughts below… Characters: Aiden Bell, the third Bell brother went from a queer billionaire financier to a cloistered monk. He used to be a raunchy party boy and now he has dedicated his life to god. Aiden’s love interest is Elijah. An event planner turned writer who I loved. He was incredibly pensive and thoughtful. These two have a fraught history. Elijah was Sean Bell’s best friend and always crushed on Aiden. Once they were both adults the boys dated and got pretty damn serious. And that is when Aiden left to become a monk. Aiden was such an interesting character. It became quite clear that he uses crutches in his life to deal with his traumas. So that crutch now is God it once was the indulgences of life, and this story asks will he need a crutch for the future? Setting: The monastery was located in Kansas. But the real event was when the boys went on a monastery tour in Europe. The locations were specifically in Belgium, France and Ireland. The settings were beautiful such as meadows of lavender and church ruins. Not just cute places to look at but some nice places to have a little fun. Pacing: This book was expansive and told in multiple parts. I really enjoyed that about it. It was not a light, quick read. Sierra really delved into some dark topics such as suicidal ideation and gave those topics all the time they needed. Romance: Oh, man oh, man the sexual tension in this book! This romance was intense in two equal parts emotionally and physically. This book has everything from multiple chastity cages to hooking up under the cover of night. What plagued me also plagued Elijah. He was not the only one asking why? Why Aiden? Why walk away from such a beautiful love and a successful life to be a monk? What I loved about this romance was how complex it was and how fighting to be back together was by no means easy. Saint receives four out of five stars. This story is releasing on July 5th!! I cannot even describe how much I was anticipating this sequel. Outside of Inked in Lies, which remains my favourite Giana Darling novel. This duology is a very close second. Giana has blown me away with the depth of this story. Check out the Goodreads synopsis… “From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Giana Darling comes the conclusion to the Anti-Heroes in Love duet, a gripping mafia romance about the capo who will risk everything to keep the woman he loves safe… I am the hero no one wanted… I was a murderer. One of the cruelest and wealthiest men in New York City. Dante Salvatore, capo of capos. Yet I had one weakness. Elena Lombardi. Cold as ice, sharp as the edge of broken glass, and more beautiful than any woman should have the right to be, she stormed my defenses and razed my life as I knew it to the ground. For her, I would once again play the hero and prove myself worthy of her unconquerable heart. For her, I would change everything. I could have left her to the enemies hounding me, but instead, I made the unforgivable decision to take her with me to the old country. Now, there is no other option. In order to keep both of us safe, Elena Lombardi must become my wife” Check out my more detailed thoughts below… Characters: I really do not want to spoil you much so if you have not read the first instalment. Please stop reading this review and go pickup When Heroes Fall. If you read When Heroes Fall you should need my review to incentive you to pick up the next instalment but nonetheless my thoughts are all incredibly positive. The big standout for me is just how much character development Elena (and to a lesser extent Dante) went through. Elena was so much in her element. Turning into a mafia donna was the best goddamn thing to happen to her. Setting: I loved getting to run off to Italy in this instalment. For as many Lombardi world books Giana has written, none have really spent that much time in Italy. Which makes sense as the Lombardis had to flee Napoli. This story really showed the beauty of the grittiest place in Italy. The Villa with it’s lemon groves just sounded gorgeous. I may be very biased but I am Italian, so I just find it to be one of the most gorgeous settings in the world. Pacing: The pacing was perfect. Not too long, or too short. I read it quickly but I loved that I could just engulf this story. I am jealous of all of you guys now who can binge the two books back to back. I really love having this story be broken up over two instalments because one would not have been enough to fully flush out these characters. Yet three would have dragged the story along, the problem I found with Giselle’s trilogy. I want to give Giana a shout out here for the release schedule. Having the books close together but not too close together was absolutely perfect. I felt like excitement and momentum did not decrease, yet the stories coming out closer together helped me remember everything I read in the previous book. While also making the cliffhanger a lot more bearable. Romance: The romance in this story is nothing short of epic. This may be one of my favourite romances ever. The connection these two had and the way they made each other better and stronger was just immaculate. Dante did not impose new characteristics onto Elena, he helped her embrace her true self. As she opened up to him while also embracing the darkness within her, she learned to balance living in a world where she can be both a hero and a villain. These two have an electric chemistry, their kisses could start a three alarm fire. This romance made me feel every emotion possible, it had me crying, laughing, swooning and hot and bothered. I want to give a quick shout out too to all the Italian in this book. I absolutely adored the nicknames and as someone with an understating of the language it was nice to have a better understanding of some of the idioms Giana used. Granted I did not know much of the bedroom language, so it was also fun to learn some new naughty words. Brava Giana! When Villains Rise receives five out of five stars. Webster and Candi Kane PR for the advance reader copy of Feuds and Reckless Fury, this story releases on June 1st! The first K. Webster story I ever read was Hale, her quintessential step-sibling romance. So I jumped the chance to pick up this story. Not only is it a stepsiblings romance, but it is also an enemies-to-lovers and an M/M love story. Check out the Goodreads synopsis… “From USA Today bestselling author K Webster comes an angsty and emotional enemies-to-lovers gay romance standalone! The hatred began when my father proposed to another man in a shocking moment that rocked my family to its core… Now I’m on a quest for revenge against my father. That means hitting him where it hurts—the new fiancé and the son he thinks so much of.Alister Sommers. Was one dad not good enough that Alis had to take mine too? Soon, we’ll be stepbrothers.Until then, I vow to make his life a living hell.Maybe Dad will regret his terrible mistakes.Maybe he won’t.I know I won’t regret wrecking their lives like they did mine. I’ll give up everything, even my girlfriend and football, if it means I get a chance for retribution. It’s reckless and risky, but I don’t have much to lose. The havoc I wreak might ease some of the pain Dad caused my mother.I’m willing to give it a shot. What starts as a family feud will become a war…one I plan on winning no matter the cost. There’s only one small problem.I may have underestimated my opponent.” Check out my more detailed thoughts below… Characters: Canyon and Alis are the stepbrothers, turned lovers. Canyon is a hotheaded, angry and angsty teen. He is an asshole through and through with a huge revenge fantasy. Canyon’s dad filed for divorce and left Canyon’s mom for his best friend. Canyon perceives this as his dad replacing him and hurting his mom deliberately so he makes it his mission to make Alis’ life miserable. Alis is the adopted son of Canyon’s dad’s fiance. Alis has trauma from his childhood, and his adopted father saved him when he was ten. He is incredibly self-conscience about his adopted dad keeping him, he is in constant fear that he will be kicked out. The boys start to see more than meets the eye. Canyon is more than just a dumb dock. Alis is more than an artsy nerd. I loved how their characters evolved over the course of this story. Setting: The story was set in Florida. They are high school seniors and yet that did nothing to withdraw the emotional intensity and the deep themes of the story. This story was really able to delve into depression, adoption, abuse, trauma, homophobia, teen pregnancy, and addiction. This really was a story about the consequences of hiding parts of yourself. Pacing: The pacing was A+ as these characters went through such phenomenal personal and romantic journeys. Romance: This sure is an intense romance with extreme sexual tension. I could not help but cry my eyes out for them. I loved how they slowly began to transition from hating each other to loving each other. There were so many adoring moments. I loved that they would share their interests. This may be one of the best K. Webster has ever written. I do not tend to read about high schoolers but Kristi writes them with such grit and emotional intensity. Feuds and Reckless Fury receives five out of five stars. The hatred began when my father proposed to another man in a shocking moment that rocked my family to its core…

That means hitting him where it hurts—the new fiancé and the son he thinks so much of.
Alister Sommers.

Maybe Dad will regret his terrible mistakes.
Maybe he won’t.
I know I won’t regret wrecking their lives like they did mine.

It’s reckless and risky, but I don’t have much to lose.
The havoc I wreak might ease some of the pain Dad caused my mother.

What starts as a family feud will become a war…one I plan on winning no matter the cost.

This story is releasing on May 28th! I have been so incredibly excited to get this book on my eReader. First off I knew it as Dante’s story and after getting to know him better in the Enslaved Duet. We did not know for the longest time that Elena would be his love interest. After Giana Darling revealed that I wanted this story even more. Elena had always fascinated me, from her cold, bitter portrayal in The Evolution of Sin. I am so ready to dive into her head, head first. Check out the Goodreads synopsis… “I am the villain of my own story… Jilted by my fiance.A disappointment to my family.Haunted by my childhood traumas.I felt so much all my life that I resolved to feeling nothing at all. Until I met my match. As the most infamous mafioso of the 21st century, Dante Salvatore was madly passionate, unequivocally bad, and entirely too dangerous to know. He was everything I abhorred, yet I found myself representing him in the biggest criminal trial of the decade. I was so focused on winning and achieving the success I deserved that I didn’t notice the gorgeous black-eyed man’s effect on me until it was too late. My icy heart had been held too close to his flame and now I wouldn’t let Dante go down without fighting with everything I had in me. Even if the cost of a new life with him meant the loss of my old life and everything I thought I held dear.” Check out my more detailed thoughts below… Characters: Elena Lombardi has a reputation as a lawyer, standoffish, ice queen. She is still a junior partner trying to prove herself. I have preconceived notions about Elena from reading about her in Giselle and Cosima’s story. There is so much more to her character than I ever thought possible. I found that I had this internal battle with Elena myself. I am so proud of being of Italian heritage and I strive to hold onto every morsel of it. I related more to Dante in that way. I totally understand based on Elena’s childhood that she wanted to leave Italy in the past. She rejects the roughness of her upbringing and goes out of her way to be poised. She has really interesting relationships with her siblings as she is the eldest and claims that she was the only one who remembers the true horrors of life in Napoli. Her fertility issues are written about in such a great way. This explores the combo of how her issues are both psychologically crippling and anti-Italian cultural expectations. To switch gears to Dante, if you read Cosima’s story you would know him as Alexander’s younger brother. Elena gets brought into his orbit as he is standing trial for murder, illegal gambling, racketeering, and money laundering. Dante did not murder this man, rather he is protecting Cosima. He ran away from the Davenports and was taken in by Amadeo Salvatore in his youth, the mafia boss became his pseudo father. I loved how Giana depicted Dante’s loyalty to those around him and how they respected him in return. Setting: The story is set in New York City. Quite early on in the story, Dante has his bail hearing and he is sentenced to house arrest. So the vast majority of the story takes place in Dante’s apartment. It was a wonderful setting as it set the stage for awesome scenes. You had them laughing and cooking together in his kitchen. Cuddling and watching TV in bed. Along with all the fun and unique places they had their way with each other. Pacing: The story was paced really well. I knew going in this would be a duet and I am very satisfied with the ending to this story. Yet I am super duper pumped to be getting its sequel in just a few weeks. Thank you to Giana who writing these books back to back. I also loved how she weaved Italian into the story. There were very few times the Italian was not translated right away and yet it never felt instructional. It felt as natural as thoughts in Elena or Dante’s head. As someone with a basic knowledge of Italian, it was also fun to try to figure out what they said to each other before Giana translated it. Romance: I loved this relationship between the modern-day New York mafioso and his lottatore, his fighter. These two had such wicked chemistry. After getting a peek into Elena’s life with Daniel, in Giselle’s story, it became increasingly clear that she never had the same spark with Daniel Sinclair that she has with Dante Salvatore. He makes her adventurous and pushed her limits in a really refreshing way. I would love to see her one day apologize to Sin and Elle for seeing their relationship as something depraved, now that she has opened her eyes more to sexual pleasure. My heart absolutely aches for Dante and Elena as I adored their personal journeys of discovering just how in love with each other they are. This story is the best one Giana has ever written about a Lombardi and that just makes me so much more excited for the conclusion to Elena and Dante’s story coming in June! Thank you to Giana Darling and Candi Kane PR for the advance reader copy of When Heroes Fall, the first story in the Anti-Heroes in Love duet.

Check out the Goodreads synopsis…

I am the villain of my own story…

Jilted by my fiance.
A disappointment to my family.
Haunted by my childhood traumas.
I felt so much all my life that I resolved to feeling nothing at all.

Even if the cost of a new life with him meant the loss of my old life and everything I thought I held dear.”

Check out my more detailed thoughts below…

  • Characters: Elena Lombardi has a reputation as a lawyer, standoffish, ice queen. “Leif

The world knows me as Leif in Wanderlust, travel blogger.

Through the lens of my camera, I take my followers along as I vacation in some of the most beautiful places all over the world.

Sure, it can get lonely, but I’m literally living everyone’s best life and loving every second of it.

Until I’m hired for a job in Brigs Ferry Bay, Maine, where I meet a local diner owner, Fernando.

One steamy night together turns into two, and two… turns into a week of bliss.

Our instant connection leaves me questioning my motives for why I do what I do.

Am I replacing meaningful relationships with the approval of strangers?

And why can’t I get Fernando out of my head?

Fernando

Tourist season in Brigs Ferry Bay is the best season when your number one rule is to not sleep with the locals.

Small towns get six degrees of incestuous if you’re not careful.

So when a sexy travel blogger with a nerdy vibe struts into my diner, I call dibs.

He’s the perfect distraction from the dumpster fire that is my life right now, since Pops was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

I didn’t expect to actually like the guy or miss him after he went on his way.

But I do, and I can’t stop the intrusive thoughts telling me what we have is more than lust.

Now my biggest problem is convincing a wanderer to stay in one place with me.

I’m the cat, he’s the mouse.

Game on.

Enemies to lovers, hurt comfort, age-gap romance, and so much more.
Fall in love with the charming small-town gay romances of Brigs Ferry Bay.”

Callan is very very moody. When really he is a very broken boy, if you ever read the previous Brigs Ferry Bay books then you will know why. I loved how expressive Callan was, that he literally wears his mood on his sleeve. What I found fascinating is that no one in Callan’s life has gone about fixing him in the right way. Until Atlas. Poor Atlas is still sorta closeted, cause he has not come out to the important people in his life. Atlas is a war vet, now on the Brigs Ferry Bay police force. He is not really as broken as Callan, but Atlas sure has some deep-seated trauma associated with being run out of town because of his sexuality. Setting: Callan’s Atlas is set in Brigs Ferry Bay a small fictionalized Maine town. You will be familiar with it if you read either Sheriff’s Secret or Kian’s Focus. The characters from those novels make appearances especially Jax and Dante as Callan’s brother-in-law and brother respectively. I loved having awesome side characters around and it just makes me so excited for future stories. I do know the next title in the series is Fernando’s story and I am so excited to eventually be getting Zak’s story. Pacing: This story was paced quite well. There is a really big payoff, a reveal of sorts so I highly recommend reading the other Brigs Ferry Bay novels first. Romance: This romance really blossoms because Atlas is the first person to not handle Callan with kids’ gloves. Atlas really becomes the knight in shining armour for Callan. “From USA Today bestselling author K Webster comes a steamy and emotional age-gap MM romance!

When we moved from New York to Maine, life was supposed to get easier, not harder.
Change, for me, was difficult.
I became the target of terrible crimes that resulted in sending a once-beloved man of the community to prison for a very long time.

Now that I’m eighteen, I could move back to the Big Apple, but fear has me rooted in place.
I hate what that monster did to me.
Looks like I’m stuck here for good.
Brigs Ferry Bay’s unhappiest gay.

Each day, the darkness closes in around me more and more.
Black clothes. Black mood. Black thoughts. Black eyeliner.
The color in my life bled from me months ago and never came back.

Until him.
Atlas Larson.
Newest cop on the BFB police force.
Too hot. Too strong. Too old for me. Too…everything.

Atlas is a rebellious, bossy, mouthy brute who likes to provoke me.
Every encounter starts with heat and ends with an argument.
Color begins sneaking back into my world little by little.
He reminds me of who I once was and shows me who I’m meant to be.

I crave to leave this town once and for all.
But now that I’ve found the courage to do it, the arrogant jerk with a badge might find a way to keep me here and in his arms forever.

Giana’s debut trilogy is getting a new look and some new content! I was so grateful to be granted a copy of the re-release so that I could have the perfect opportunity to re-read this trilogy before we get Elena and Dante’s story in When Heroes Fall. Check out the Goodreads synopsis… “It started with an affair. A seven-day affair with a mysterious French billionaire on the beaches of Mexico. I didn’t know anything about him except his name. Sin. He was older, dominant in ways I’d never known, utterly romantic, and taken by another woman. He shouldn’t want me. I shouldn’t let myself want him. After the most passionate week of my life, I never believed I would see Sinclair again when I moved to New York City to begin my next chapter. I certainly never expected to find him in my mother’s kitchen. Now, I’m faced with an impossible choice. Safeguard my burgeoning career, my reputation, and my family by sacrificing the only man I’ve ever loved. Or follow my heart into the cold, dominating hands of the man I shouldn’t crave but do with every inch of my soul while condemning those I love to misery as a consequence.” Check out my more detailed thoughts below… The Affair: Giselle grows so much over the course of just one instalment in this series. She starts as this young, inexperienced, virgin who has spent her life running away from her problems. The reader cannot help but find Giselle likeable, there are aspects of all of us in her really. Which makes it so awesome to see her begin to find her voice and ask for what she wants. The reader cannot help but question this affair as Sinclair never hides that he’s in a relationship, meaning that Giselle makes the choice firmly to be the other woman, to be a homewrecker. The way Giana writes this story almost makes you excuse the cheating, you cannot help but be torn apart as you really begin to see how Sin and Elle bring out the best in each other. Elle is bolder and Sin is happier. Their chemistry is off the charts, their scenes together are just delicious! – 4/5 stars The Secret: The second book has this air of sadness over it, it sits on Giselle and the reader’s shoulders. You go from the bold and bright Mexico version of Elle, to the Bambina of the Lombardi family. In a way, her family almost stunts her, as if she is a butterfly with her wings clipped. New York is definitely better than it was in Italy but there is a reserved and restricted nature to Giselle in The Secret. From Giselle’s perspective, she really does seem like the odd one out in the family. But perspective can be telling. It is super interesting to read her relationship with Cosima and how Giselle sees them as extremely close. While us avid Giana Darling readers know just how much Cosi is keeping from Giselle. If you don’t know do yourself a favour and read The Enslaved Duet. Sinclair and Giselle have an attraction unlike anyone else. Which made their relationship really frustrating in this book. To watch Sin stay in a relationship that makes him unhappy makes you as a reader want to pull your hair out. – 4/5 stars The Consequence: I genuinely think this is a really interesting series but I do lose some of my love for it in the third and final instalment. And most of my issues stem from Mr. Daniel Sinclair. Sinclair does some extremely questionable overly protective and controlling things. I’ve read this twice, with a lot of life experiences in between and yet I cannot get behind some of the things he did. Reading The Consequence makes me so excited for an Elena redemption arc. It became even more and more obvious as the story went on that she had no spark with Sinclair, and I am so freaking excited to see her fall for Dante. Thank you to Giana Darling and the team at the Candi Kane PR for the advance reader copy of the re-released Evolution of Sin trilogy.

Giana’s debut trilogy is getting a new look and some new content! I was so grateful to be granted a copy of the re-release so that I could have the perfect opportunity to re-read this trilogy before we get Elena and Dante’s story in When Heroes Fall.

Check out the Goodreads synopsis…

“It started with an affair.

Or follow my heart into the cold, dominating hands of the man I shouldn’t crave but do with every inch of my soul while condemning those I love to misery as a consequence.”

Check out my more detailed thoughts below…

  • The Affair: Giselle grows so much over the course of just one instalment in this series. – 4/5 stars
  • The Secret: The second book has this air of sadness over it, it sits on Giselle and the reader’s shoulders. A sexy, swoony falling-for-the-neighbor standalone romance from #1 New York Times bestselling author Lauren Blakely!

Just my luck – my new next door neighbor is a unicorn.
Yep, the British hottie is clearly a mythical man because – get this – he’s a sexy, witty, charming, big-hearted single dad.
Who, wait for it, wants to find Mrs. Right and get hitched.
He’s a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of man, and it’s a darn shame I’m not on the market. If I were, his accent alone would melt me. Add in the fact that he’s a veterinarian, and my animal-loving heart would be flip flopping.
But my heart’s on the mend. I’m a single parent like him, and raising my teenage daughter is my top priority. Plus, falling for a guy who shares your property line is a line you shouldn’t cross.
Still, I’m an outgoing gal, so I do the neighborly thing and offer to be his dating insider.
Surely, I can help this small town’s most eligible bachelor ever navigate his way through all the fantastic single ladies eager to make his acquaintance.
What could possibly go wrong in helping the dream guy next door find his one true love?
So I set him up on one date, two dates, three dates — and I’m about to find out exactly how dangerous my offer is.

Check out my more detailed thoughts below…

A fake marriage combined with a week-long trip to Europe. Get strapped in for this wild ride. Because we all know when two people are so determined not to fall in love, it is rather inevitable that they do. This may in fact be one of Lauren Blakely’s best love stories yet! Check out the Goodreads synopsis… “A week-long trip. A fake marriage. And seven delicious nights with only one bed in the hotel room. He’s my business partner, my good friend, and the man I’ve craved for years. But I’ve resisted the sexy Brit, and I plan to keep up my walls because I’ve been there, done that, and I know how much it hurts when you let someone into your heart. Then an opportunity comes along for us to snag the business deal of a lifetime. The catch? We need to pretend we’re married to pull off this high-stakes deal.So the clever, charming man with secrets a mile deep becomes my temporary husband, as we travel around Europe. Soon, we fall into bed, tangled together like newlyweds who can’t keep their hands off each other. One week to explore our fantasies, then we return to who we were. But when I learn the dark secrets he’s been keeping, I doubt we can go back.Because they change everything.” Check out my more detailed thoughts below… Characters: Scarlett and Daniel are both hoteliers. They are business partners with Cole from One Exquisite Touch. If you have read Cole and Sage’s story you will recognize Daniel from the tryst the three of them had. Scarlett and Daniel run the European arm of the business, with Scarlett based in Paris and Daniel in London. Scarlett is at home in Paris, she escaped London after the death of her husband. There is much more to that story but you gotta read this to find out. Daniel has an even larger set of baggage stemming from when he damaged his playing hand forever destroying any chance of a career as a Violin virtuoso. All of it connects to his parent’s death and a much larger story. Daniel may be one of the most broken men Lauren has ever created; he is terrified to put himself out there and find love. So is Scarlett after losing her husband and realizing she never truly knew who he was, just three years ago. Pacing: This story is a whirlwind; that I engulfed in just two sittings. The pace of the couple’s trip is fast so it made the plot progress at a similar pace. Setting: The vast majority of the story is set across France. Paris is the home base for Scarlett so it takes center stage in this tale. Daniel and Scarlett embark on series of hotel tours to decide if they are going to buy up some new locations. This trip subsequently takes us to Nice, Lyon, and Avignon just to name a few places. I absolutely adore books set in Europe and all this did was make me yearn to go back to France and explore the vast country outside of the Paris city limits. Romance: Scarlett describes her and Daniel’s partnership as “were like gin and tonic.” Meaning they complement each other perfectly. Despite this, their relationship has strictly remained a business one. All it takes is one night while they are touring a hotel in Avignon, an almost kiss forces both of them to evaluate how they feel about the other. They have immediate chemistry with one another, and to the reader, it seems they both have been suppressing their feelings for the other for years. Scarlett describes Daniel as “hot” and he describes her as “stunning with a capital S.” The opportunity arises to play husband and wife for a week; this is what makes Daniel and Scarlett face the music. Now they must decide what is more important their solid business partnership or exploring a once-in-a-lifetime chance of love. My One Week Husband receives five out of five stars.
The catch?
We need to pretend we’re married to pull off this high-stakes deal.
So the clever, charming man with secrets a mile deep becomes my temporary husband, as we travel around Europe. Soon, we fall into bed, tangled together like newlyweds who can’t keep their hands off each other.
One week to explore our fantasies, then we return to who we were.
But when I learn the dark secrets he’s been keeping, I doubt we can go back.
Because they change everything.”

Check out my more detailed thoughts below…

  • Characters: Scarlett and Daniel are both hoteliers.
  • Pacing: This story is a whirlwind; that I engulfed in just two sittings. The pace of the couple’s trip is fast so it made the plot progress at a similar pace.
  • Setting: The vast majority of the story is set across France.
  • Romance: Scarlett describes her and Daniel’s partnership as “were like gin and tonic.” Meaning they complement each other perfectly.
