]]>After waiting for this book for quite a while, I am so happy to say that Giana is back and better than ever. This book is top-tier and has so many elements of Giana at her best. My review is glowing because honestly, this book was just phenomenal and I never want to go almost three years without a Fallen Men book again!
From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Giana Darling comes an age gap, forbidden love story about a rebel soul and her best friend’s dad who wants absolutely nothing to do with her…
I fell in love with my best friend’s dad when I was seventeen.
He seemed like some kind of heathen god, big enough to kill a man with his bare hands, tattooed with bright, bold images, and weathered by time and a short stint in prison.
Blind to the consequences, I made a mistake that ran him out of town and ruined his life.
Now, he’s back after all these years––hating me more than the day he left.
What he doesn’t know is that I’ve been working to atone for my sins.
I’ve infiltrated the Vancouver Triad that killed his wife.
Always my protector, he decides it’s not safe for me to be in this alone, so he resolves to get me out of the Triad and out of his hair for good.
*A stand-alone novel in The Fallen Men Series.*

]]>This one just wasn’t for me. I have been enjoying the series so far but just found I was not attached to the characters and that it was a bit of a trope overload.
I am a Lauren Blakely review team member, but I remain honest and genuine in my reviews.
I swear I’m a good girl. I didn’t go to the exclusive, after-hours masquerade to kiss my dad’s best friend. I didn’t even know who the masked man was when he touched me like I was his every fantasy. But when I learn exactly how off-limits my new lover is, I do my best to avoid him the next time. Except, he has his sinful sights set on me, even when he discovers who I am. Just one time, he whispers. Then we’ll pretend this never happened. Seems the enigmatic, gorgeous single dad I’ve known by day is a very dirty man after dark. But one night turns into a stolen weekend away, giving me a taste of so much more. When we return to the city, we vow to stay apart. We could never work . He’s focused on raising his young son, and I can’t let my already damaged family break more. But the caring, possessive man keeps coming back to me, and these secret nights tangled up together are turning into tender moments that make my heart thunder. And soon, this tease of a forbidden romance is making me want so much more than I can ever have…

]]>I really enjoyed this instalment! Lauren leaning into the forbidden age-gap romances is the right choice, as these stories are just so deliciously steamy. The Tryst is falling for your ex-boyfriend’s father and that trope is executed so well here.
I am a Lauren Blakely review team member, but I remain honest and genuine in my reviews.
Some men are just off-limits. Like your ex-boyfriend’s father.
But when I met the sexy, powerful older man shortly after my business school graduation, he was simply the seductive stranger I wanted to notice me, and he sure did.
Fast forward a few months later, when my college ex – now a good friend – introduces me to the person he looks up to most…his father.
The man I spent that one hot night with.
I should stay far away from the commanding business mogul. But my ex and I are planning a charity fundraiser that involves late nights at his dad’s penthouse in Manhattan.
Nights where he can’t stop looking at me with desire in his eyes that matches my own.
I try to resist him, playing the good girl in the city…mostly.
He’s the perfect gentleman…until he comes knocking on my door and tells me exactly what he wants to do to me.
And I say yes.
Stealing nights with him like this is supposed to be wrong, but it feels so right. And when he saves the day to protect his son at the fundraiser, my heart wants him as much as my body does.
Can we ever be more than just a tryst?

]]>This book is how you do a taboo romance! This book is not for the faint of heart, as our heroine cannot help but fall into bed with both her step-father and step-brother. So much of this book is bonkers, it is extremely out there! It was a wild ride, so if you are curious about a taboo romance pick up this one or the first story The Teacher of Nothing.
From USA Today Bestselling Author K Webster comes a new steamy age-gap, enemies-to-lovers “why choose” forbidden romance!
He’s a successful attorney with a secret craving for his too-young stepdaughter.
He wants her badly. But his wicked son wants her too…
Love is an illusion.
In my world, collecting the shiniest trophies is what I do.
Beautiful wife. Swanky home. Expensive cars. Successful firm. Future attorney general.
Add in the Park family name and I’m the envy of every man in town.
True love, however, was never attainable, no matter how much I secretly wanted it.
The desire to be loved isn’t my only secret.
My wife is missing.
With my life under scrutiny as I run for office, I’m finding it difficult to lie away her whereabouts. People are starting to notice. My political opponent. Her best friend. And worst of all, my wife’s daughter, Aubrey.
Aubrey is finally back home after two long years with her dad, but she’s asking questions I don’t have answers to. Yet, that’s not all she’s doing…
She’s invading my thoughts and my heart, driving me insane with her beauty and vulnerability.
I want her.
She’s barely legal and my wife’s daughter.
Forbidden and morally wrong.
I can’t have her. I can’t.
My son, though, doesn’t live by the same code I do.
He wants her too.
But not to love…to destroy.
I’ll risk everything to keep him from her.
Even if this tangle of awful costs me my reputation, my campaign, and my son.
***This is a complete mfm standalone novel with a happily ever after. Characters are of legal age and there is no romantic involvement between blood relations. ***

]]>Omg Melanie these tropes are to die for! This is one of my favourite series and I was over the moon to read a falling in love with your ex’s dad romance.
I am a Melanie Harlow review team member, but I remain honest and genuine in my reviews.
You’ve heard the story about the wedding planner who falls for the groom?
Well, this is the one where she falls for his father.
And that groom? He’s my ex.
I didn’t realize who the gruff, gorgeous older man was the night he rescued me from a creep in a Manhattan hotel bar. All I knew was that a hot, bearded stranger with a protective streak showed up right when I needed a reminder that real gentlemen still exist.
(Although he left his manners behind after asking me up to his room.)
It was the hottest night of my life, but I never thought I’d see the former Navy SEAL again.
Imagine my surprise at the rehearsal dinner one week later, when my sexy one-night stand is introduced as the father of the groom. Even more surprising? That temptation we felt in New York was no fluke.
In public, we pretend there’s nothing between us.
In private, we can’t keep our hands off each other.
The situation is beyond complicated. Zach never even knew he’d fathered a child until recently, and he wants to earn his son’s trust and respect. As for me, I’m looking for a man who wants to start a family, and Zach has made it clear he’s not that man. He’s fifteen years older, newly divorced, and he lives across the country.
But no matter how many times we draw the line, we keep crossing it.
Nothing so wrong should ever feel so right.

When he said his vows, he told me how much he loved my determination and strength.
If I wanted it, I got it.
Except now all I want is to have his baby. And for the first time ever, no matter how much I want it, no amount of strength and determination can make it happen.
With each negative test, my confidence wavers and I start to lose sight of who I am.
Each month, my doubt swells, creating a space between us.
Through it all, I know I’m his.
But will he still be mine when we falter?

]]>Talk about a book stacked with taboo tropes! This book is way more emotional and sweet than I was expecting. Showing that you should never judge a book by its tropes.
From USA Today Bestselling Author K Webster comes a new steamy age-gap, student-teacher forbidden romance!
He’s a grumpy teacher with a chip on his shoulder. She’s his much, much younger student who’s completely off-limits.
Love broke me when I was a teen.
My dad not only slept with my girlfriend, but he knocked her up and made her my stepmom, too. Nearly two decades later and I’m still not over it.
How can I be when they’re a daily reminder of what was stolen from me?
Being a teacher isn’t necessarily my passion but pissing my dad off is.
He thinks teaching is beneath our family and I love watching him squirm.
But the joke’s on me.
I’m completely obsessed with the quiet, beautiful girl in my class.
Always staring at her perfect lips when no one’s looking.
She’s so young—too young for me.
Something about her, though, is just so sad and I can’t seem to stop thinking about her.
I want to comfort her. To hold her.
To teach her filthy lessons while in the sanctity of my bedroom.
And, yet I can’t.
Not only would I lose my job and bring humiliation down on the others in my family who don’t deserve the heat, but I’d be just like him. My father. A sicko chasing some girl he has no business going after. I refuse to let that happen.
Until I’m forced to protect her when no one else will.
Everything changes and I cross a line I’m not sure I can come back from.
It turns out, I’m exactly like my father.
A selfish man hellbent on ruining everyone’s lives over a teenage girl.

]]>I was a huge fan of the Cloverleigh Farms series. If you have never picked it up you should definitely start with Irresistible. Which is the story of how Winnie’s parents, Frannie and Mack fell in love. It is still one of Melanie Harlow’s best books and I was so excited to see that Melanie was returning to Cloverleigh.
I am a member of Melanie Harlow’s review team, but I stand by my reviews remaining honest and true.
“My new neighbor is a firefighter–and a scorching hot single dad–but I swear I didn’t set off that smoke alarm on purpose.
(And I was beyond mortified when he rushed in and saw me naked.)
Nothing happened, of course–because I, Winnie MacAllister, romance junkie and owner of a constantly broken heart, have sworn off men for one solid year.
Even protective men with chiseled jaws, bulging biceps, and deep brown eyes that make my breath come faster. Even former SEALs with broad chests and strong hands that make my skin sizzle. Even gorgeous, grumpy guys who have their hands full raising two adorable little girls and claim they don’t believe in love.
Until Dex kisses me one night, and I drop all my defenses.
(Also my underwear.)
He says he’s not gentle, and he’s right. He says I should take the dream job I’m offered in another state, and he’s right. He says he’s too old for me and could never be the man I deserve.
He’s wrong.
Dex and I might be twelve years apart, but the fire between us is the kind that will never burn out.
How can I convince him to give happily-ever-after with me a chance?”

]]>It is finally time for the conclusion to Ash and Winston’s journey! And oh my god what a journey this has been, full of highs and lows, and huge cliffhangers. These two are so deserving of a happily ever after and so this conclusion is one of my most anticipated releases of the year.
I am a member of Dangerous Press review team, but I stand by my reviews remaining honest and true.
“Betraying the most powerful man in New York wasn’t something I ever envisioned when I first started playing games with Winston Constantine. But he’s engaged in far more dangerous games than ours, and his enemies are out for blood.
Winston has my heart, the Morellis have incriminating photos, and I’m left with nothing except three stepbrothers who want to hurt me and a future in doubt. I knew Winston wouldn’t be my prince charming, but that didn’t stop me from falling for him.
After all, the slippers fit, and I let myself believe I’d be dancing with Winston forever.
Until too much truth comes to light.
Until I realize instead of ruling the board, I was just a pawn.
In the end, I have only one question. When his game with me is over, will I be able to pretend as if the glass slipper wasn’t a perfect fit?”
