- Characters: Jason and Truly are the main characters of Lauren’s latest novel. Truly was a really fun character, as a bar owner, she was just a breath of fresh air in comparison to many female love interests. She’s Malone’s sister, and he is from the book, Satisfaction Guaranteed. Jason is such a charismatic character, and I love that the way Lauren writes places the male character in the main point of view position rather than the female character.
- Pacing: Pacing seemed different to me than most books. I loved that about it though, because I find it harder to guess plot points if a book does not follow a traditional format.
- Romance: This story is your classic “I can’t date my best friend’s little sister” and “I made a pact with my brother to never date any of his friends.” Watching Truly and Jason’s love be more powerful than the tropes that attempt to keep them apart is very rewarding.
